Importing from QuickBooks

Working Papers imports the full trial balance as well as general ledger details from QuickBooks files. The import method depends on the version of QuickBooks that you are using. Some versions can import directly from QuickBooks into Working Papers, some use an Export Utility, while others use QuickBooks Online to import directly.

Note: You will require your user name and password for QuickBooks Online to use the export utility and import directly into Working Papers.

Notes

  • Due to country variations in QuickBooks, some versions include a country designation as part of the version number. If there is not a separate country version listed, assume the version number applies to all countries.
  • Working Papers is unable to import from QuickBooks EasyStart 2012.
  • Canadian users have an option to import GIFI codes that must be checked. This option is unchecked for other regions.
