To adjust column width

1. Position the insertion point on the page for which you are employing two-column printing.
2. On the File menu, select Page Setup.
3. Ensure that the Scope is set to Current Page and two-column printing is enabled.
4. Under Margins, type or select a new page width in the Left and Right boxes.
5. Click OK.

The columns expand or decrease accordingly.

Tip

• You can use paragraph indents to change the column width while maintaining the same amount of white space around the page. For more information, see To adjust paragraph alignment.
