About paragraphs

A paragraph is any amount of text that ends with a paragraph mark $images\paragraphmk_shg.gif$ . Paragraph marks contain formatting and line attributes for the paragraph. If a paragraph mark is deleted, paragraph formatting is also removed.

When ENTER is pressed, CaseView inserts a paragraph mark and moves the insertion point to the first line of the new paragraph. If the paragraph marks are not visible, on the View menu, select Preferences and then select the Display paragraph markers option in the Display Preferences dialog.

CaseView automatically wraps text to the next line when the right margin is reached. In some situations, however, it may be necessary to start a new paragraph.
