Document designers are now able to include links to items, such as authoritative references on the internet, within any CaseView document. Options have been included to disguise the link address as alternate text, modify the color and underline attributes of the link, and to choose whether or not an end user will be able to add and modify links in Form Mode and Form Mode with Enable Editing.
Hyperlinks are inserted as hyperlink objects. These objects may contain multiple URLs, or may be left empty to be filled in by the end user in Form Mode.
In Design Mode
Using the Hyperlink command
In the Display Text box, enter the display text which will appear in the document. This may be entered as standard text (in double-quotes) or as a calculation which links to information elsewhere in the software.
Note: Leaving the Display Text box will not enter a default value, such as the associated URL. As this is a calculation, a blank field will result in a hidden link within the document.
Click OK.
To modify an existing link, simply right-click on the link and select Edit Hyperlinks... to open the same dialog.
Using the Cell event dialog
On the Home tab, click Cell.
Click OK.
To modify an existing link, right-click on the link and select Edit Cell to open the same dialog.
In Form Mode and Form Mode with Enable Editing
Inserting a hyperlink
To make modifications to links which have been added through Form Mode, right-click on the existing link and select Edit Hyperlink: <Link Display Text>.
Note: An end user in Form Mode or Form Mode with Enable Editing may only make modifications to hyperlinks which have been created in that same mode. Hyperlinks created in Design Mode may not be modified.
