What ATB files are needed:

Transactions

(Required if importing adjusting and other journal entries).

????????.GRP Grouping information (Optional) A warning message will display if missing, but import will proceed normally.

How to do it:

  1. On the File menu, select Import, and then Working Paper Software.
  2. In the Convert From box, select AICPA’s ATB (WIN).
  3. In the Version box, select the version of AICPA’s ATB you want to import.
  4. In the Convert Path box, select the exact path where the AICPA's ATB file resides. Use the Browse button to locate the file manually.
  5. Select the Company Name for the client file.
  6. Select the check box if you wish to import adjusting and other journal entries as well.

    Note: The final balance is always adjusted after import.

  7. If importing period rather than year to date numbers, select Set period date sequence to monthly. Selecting this option sets the period date sequence in the Engagement Properties to monthly and imports the data into the monthly reporting sequence. If left unchecked, the period date sequence in the Engagement Properties is set to yearly.
  8. Click OK.
