To Export the XBRL File

  1. On the File menu, select Export, and then XBRL file.

  2. Select the version of XBRL you are using and click OK.

  3. Ensure that the correct taxonomy is selected in the Taxonomy list.

  4. Confirm the destination file is correct or click Browse and navigate to the location where the XBRL document should be stored.

  5. Check the desired options. Here you have the option to export skipped items, zero balances, blank values, and multiple items with the same tag. Click Next.

  6. If there are any problems with the tagging in your document, errors are displayed along with a message describing the severity of the problem in the XBRL Diagnostics List.
You must correct any errors that are severe enough to stop the XBRL document from being generated.
Highlight an error and click Correct. CaseView opens the appropriate area where the error is located and allows you to remove or change the tag. Where the tagged numeric items in the CaseView document do not sum up correctly based on the taxonomy’s calculation linkbase, clicking Correct opens the Instance Preview – Calculation View dialog where you can view the errors and then make adjustments.
  7. Click Next. The XBRL Export Summary dialog displays a summary of the settings. You can click Preview Document to see how the document will be presented.

  8. Click Finish to export the document. CaseView generates the completed XBRL file.
