To sort alphabetically

  1. Drag the pointer to select the portion of the document you want to sort. Do not be concerned that the selected text includes amount columns or cells. Dragging over the desired portion of the document automatically implies that you want to sort alphabetically.

  2. On the Tools menu, select Sort and then Selection.
  3. Under Sort Order, choose to sort in either ascending or descending order. If you want to apply a unique sorting order to the selection, choose Manual.
