To enter a cell calculation

Position the insertion point in the cell.
On the Format menu, select Cell.
On the General tab, select the Calculation box, type the calculation or click the $images\calctool_shg.gif$ button beside the Calculation box to access the Calculation Editor.

Tip

To enter or edit a cell calculation quickly, press F2 on a selected cell to access the Equation bar, and then type or modify the calculation syntax.
If the calculation entered is incorrect, an error message displays indicating that there is an error in the calculation. At this point you are given an option to re-enter the formula and try again.
