The Equation bar is at the top of every document and is used to enter or edit cell calculations. It can also be used to renumber a CaseView cell quickly. In addition the Equation bar can also be used to enter or edit paragraph, row or column skip conditions. Contents of the Equation bar can be copied to cells or paragraphs throughout the document.

The Equation bar has four components, the condition popup, cell label, equals sign, and the contents of the cell itself.
Calculation/ condition popup list
Click and select the appropriate condition from the list. Available conditions are:

Cell label
This part displays the cell number for the active cell, in this case C2. To renumber a cell on the fly, type the new cell number here.
Equal Sign Icon (=)
Click on the equal sign to pop up the calculation editor to add or edit calculations for the active cell.
Cell Contents
This bar displays the contents of the cell, in this case "Current Assets". If there is a cell calculation, the full syntax appears here. Click anywhere in this area to edit the cell contents. With the cursor in a cell, it is possible to access this part of the Equation bar immediately by pressing the F2 key.
