In SmartExporter I get the following error message when testing the connection: “Last connection test resulted in error: SAP_CMINIT3 : rc=20 > Connect to SAP gateway failed … ERROR partner 'XYZ' not reached'’

When you start SmartExporter and test an SAP® connection, you may get the following message:

“Last connection test resulted in error: SAP_CMINIT3 : rc=20 > Connect to SAP gateway failed [...] ERROR partner 'XYZ' not reached".

 

Solution:

If all connection parameters like application server, system number or message server respectively, group/server, system ID and router string are correct and the connection test still returns the error message, it may be that the corresponding port is blocked.

 

• In case of an application server please enable the port 33NN, where NN represents the corresponding SAP® system ID 00 .. 99.
• In case of a connection to a message server it is the port 36NN, where NN is the SAP® instance number 00 .. 99.
